Εγκαίνια έκθεσης «Ματιές στην πόλη»

Στο πλαίσιο του Athens Photo Festival 2008, η Fnac και το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Φωτογραφίας, διοργάνωσαν τον διαγωνισμό φωτογραφίας με θέμα «Ματιές στην Πόλη». Οι συμμετέχοντες φωτογράφισαν τη ζωή στην πόλη, τα στέκια της, τις νέες γειτονιές, τις καθημερινές συνήθειες και έλαβαν μέρος με τη δική τους καλλιτεχνική ματιά στο διαγωνισμό! Οι βραβευμένες φωτογραφίες καθώς και οι φωτογραφίες που ξεχώρισαν θα αποτελέσουν αντικείμενο έκθεσης φωτογραφίας στο Forum της Fnac στο Μαρούσι. Τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης θα πραγματοποιηθούν στις 15 Ιανουαρίου 2009 στις 19:00, ενώ παράλληλα θα γίνει και η ανακοίνωση των 4 πρώτων νικητών του διαγωνισμού οι οποίοι θα κερδίσουν πλούσια φωτογραφικά δώρα Sony. http://www.fnac.gr/

Don't use the term Greece-Greek because it derives from the term Graekos which is how the Turks was calling Hellenes in Ottoman Rule.
Use the term Hellas,hellenic-Hellenas.
Αfter all ΗΕLLAS is the original name that our anchestors used and derives from Ancient Greek language and means: “Land of Light”.

Το όνομα «Γραικοί» είναι εμφανές ότι έχει προέλθει από τον πληθυντικό αριθμό του ονόματος «Γραικός». Ο Γραικός, σύμφωνα με τον Ησίοδο, ήταν γιος του Δία και της Πανδώρας, αδελφός του Μακεδόνα και του Μάγνη, παιδιών του Δία και της Πανδώρας, πρβ:
"...Κι η κόρη στον οίκο του ευγενή Δευκαλίωνα,
η Πανδώρα με τον πατέρα Δία, τον οδηγό των Θεών όλων,σμιγμένη στην αγάπη γέννησε το χαιρομαχητή Γραικό."

Μάλιστα κατά τον Αριστοτέλη η ονομασία Γραικός είναι αρχαιότερη του Έλληνος.
"Πρώτον μεν Γραικοί νυν δε Έλληνες" (Πάριο Χρονικό)

Παρόλ'αυτά οι αρχαίοι μας πρόγονοι καλούσαν την χώρα μας ΕΛΛΑΣ και που στα αρχαία ελληνικά σημαίνει "Χώρα του Φωτός" καθώς και Ελλην που σημαίνει"Φωτεινός Νους"
Μη χρησιμοποιείτε τον όρο Greece-greek που προέρχεται από το χαρακτηρισμό Γραικός που - κακά τα ψέμματα - έχει συνδεθεί άμεσα με την Τουρκοκρατία αφού έτσι έλεγαν οι Τούρκοι τους Έλληνες.
Να χρησιμοποιείτε τον όρο Hellas-hellenic.

Αφού δεν μπορεί το κράτος ας μαζευτούμε ΕΜΕΙΣ να κάνουμε τη διαφορά !
Είμαστε Ελληνες και όχι Γραικοί!!

Stop China's Censorship of the Olympics

Hi ,

Going against their own mandate to protect the independence of the Olympic Movement and to preserve human dignity, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has caved to Beijing's demands to censor the media's Internet access during the Games, including sites dealing with human rights, Tibet or other "dangerous" topics". The IOC needs to stand up to China and stand up for freedom of press!

The IOC's mission is not to be China's accomplice but to "place sport at the service of the harmonious development of man, with a view to promoting a peaceful society concerned with the preservation of human dignity," and that won't happen as long as the games are held against a backdrop of torture, political persecution and lies.

Tell the IOC to demand free Internet access for journalists covering the Olympic Games and to pressure China to improve human rights before the Games.
